All Hire bikes are fitted to you so you are confident. All hires are supplied with a helmet and a map of the trails in the forest,the pedaling is up to you!
Please use the correct bike for the riding you intend to do as exceding the capacity of the cycle will likely damage the bike and possibly you, remember the NHS will repair you for free but We
Charge for the full cost of damaged bikes.
Ride within your capability and on the right bit of kit and you will have the time of your life and not time off in bed.
We can supply you with a standard cross country bike suitable for all but the most extreme trails in the forest so up to "red" no further as they're not rated for more than that, ideal for
families or people wishing to cover a distance in the most efficient way light and fast.
Dirt jump trail bikes they're great for the more accomplished rider or those wishing to up the anti from there usual style. Can be used anywhere in the forest they can take it if you can!
Though we advise riding within your ability and not push it to hard as casulty is not a fun place to visit.
Free ride bikes, full suspension 5" travel front and back, they have to be experienced to believe how fast you can go from point A to B on one of these, confidence inspiring, grin enducing full on
fun, you can use these everywhere exept the down hill and dirt jump areas, they're tough but not rated for this use if you intend on going there get a dirt jump bike.
We have tandems for those wishing to try this very long bike, its a team game of pedaling and balance if you can trust the front rider as they're the only one in real control, can only be
used along the forest drive from the hire centre to Blackling Hole car park and back, so we offer it for an hour at a time, it will definately give you something to talk about later.
The map, due to its printed nature, is on occasion out of date with new trails that have been added since its' printing or tempory diversions so please see our information board just outside the
door for the most current information and what's happening in the forest or please ask a member of staff, they're extremely knowlegable and up to date with our activities in and around the
forest.
